Frequently Asked Questions
How quickly will I hear back?
We typically respond to evaluation requests within 1-2 business days. If you have an urgent concern, please note that in your message and feel free to call us directly at (626) 587-7522.
What should I expect during an evaluation?
An initial evaluation includes a detailed conversation about your concerns, your child’s history, and current communication skills. We use a combination of standardized assessments (when appropriate), clinical observations, and play-based interactions to understand how your child communicates in everyday situations. Evaluations typically take 60–90 minutes and are designed to be engaging and supportive. At the end of the session, we review results together and provide clear recommendations and next steps. Following the evaluation, the speech-language pathologist completes a comprehensive written report and provides a copy to the family, along with recommendations and next steps.
Do you accept insurance?
We are currently accepting private pay (self-pay) only. We are in the process of becoming in-network with insurance providers, including Medi-Cal (Medicaid), and will provide updates as they become available. Upon request, we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. If you have any questions, we’re happy to help guide you through the process.
What if I have a child and an adult who both need therapy?
Absolutely! We can schedule evaluations for multiple family members. Let us know in your request if you have more than one person who might benefit from therapy.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes, we offer both in-person and telehealth sessions depending on your preferences and needs. Some clients prefer one format, while others benefit from a combination. We'll discuss options during your evaluation.
What if I'm not sure if therapy is needed?
That's exactly what an evaluation is for! We can answer your questions and help determine whether your concerns warrant therapy or if there are other strategies that might help. There's no pressure—we're here to support you in making the best decision.
