Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our services and speech therapy.

What age groups do you serve?

We serve children and adolescents of all ages. We specialize in pediatric speech therapy and work with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-age children, and teenagers. Each age group receives therapy tailored to their developmental stage and specific needs.

How long is each therapy session?

Most sessions are 60 minutes long, though session length can be adjusted based on your child's needs and age. Shorter or longer sessions may be recommended depending on the specific goals and the child's attention span.

What is your fee structure?

Please contact us for detailed pricing information. We're happy to discuss fees, session packages, and any insurance or billing questions. We work with families to find solutions that fit their budget.

Do you accept insurance?

We can provide you with documentation for insurance reimbursement. Please contact us to discuss your specific insurance plan and how we can help with the claims process.

Can therapy be done in my home?

Yes! We provide personalized therapy in homes, schools, and community settings. Therapy in the home environment allows us to work with your child in a familiar, comfortable space and gives us the opportunity to coach families on supporting communication development in daily routines.

What is your evaluation process like?

Our evaluation process is thorough and play-based. We assess your child's speech, language, and communication skills using both standardized tests and informal observation. We'll discuss findings with you and create a personalized therapy plan based on your child's strengths and needs.

How often should my child attend therapy?

The frequency of therapy depends on your child's specific needs. Some children benefit from weekly sessions, while others do well with twice-weekly or monthly sessions. We'll recommend a schedule based on your child's goals and progress.

Do you work with children who are bilingual?

Absolutely! Arlene is a bilingual speech-language pathologist and has extensive experience working with bilingual children. We support children developing in two or more languages and understand the unique needs of bilingual families.

How long before I see progress?

Progress varies by child and by the specific goals of therapy. Some children show progress within weeks, while others may take longer. We track progress regularly and communicate with families about changes we're seeing. Consistency and family involvement accelerate progress significantly.

How do I request an evaluation?

You can request an evaluation through our website or Patient Portal. We'll get back to you within one business day to schedule your initial consultation.
